With the difficulties of 2023 continuing, a decision not to travel far and wide was decided upon. As a result regular trips to the unusual were the order of the day.
One of the highlights this year has been the introduction of weekends to Harewood Hill to cover the UK Hill Climbing Chmapionships and the Yorkshire Club Championships. At the point of writing, three visits have been made at various times of the year. The second visit of the UK Hill Climbing Championships have been a highlight.
The Harewood events do invite a huge variety of vehicle that in turn challenge the Yorkshire track. Already this year we have experienced F1 cars to standard road going Clios and everything in between. With corners named Chippies, Willow, Quarry and two chicanes called Orchard and the Esses, the 1.23 mile climb is a challenge to novice to the experienced.
Images from the track are always action packed. Its not unusual to come away with cars locking up, sliding, spinning but refraining from hitting anything hard. As Harewood is set in the Yorkshire Dales, many images of the competitors are complemented with fantastic backgrounds incorporating the rolling hills or the various animals.
If all goes well, the remainder of the 2023 season will be completed.
